Question by sweets2475: where can i apply for obama’s ,000 scholarship for single moms?
every time I find a link its a dead end, the page that loads is blank. does anyone have a link that actually works?
Best answer:
Answer by Suddenly Human No, because it’s a scam. The only free grant from the government to go to school is a Pell grant and it was around long before what’s-his-name came into office. To apply you go to http://fafsa.ed.gov
You can tell this and all other are REAL government websites because of the .gov at the end of the web address.

Question by CrYs CrYs: Can anyone help me? I cannot seem to find a scholarship! I am a single mom and full-time student.?
I am a single mom and a Full Time student. I am currently unemployed and have no HIgh School Diploma. I am attending Hair Fashions By Kayes Beauty College. I can’t either find one to go through my school or I come to the problem of not having a high school diploma or GED. Can anyone help me?? PLEASE!!
Best answer:
Answer by Suddenly Human The scholarships out there for beauty school are about nil. Sorry.
Without a high school diploma or a GED you can still try to get financial aid by applying at http://fafsa.ed.gov
You will be required to PASS an “Ability-To-Benefit” test before they will award you financial aid, but you CAN get it as long as you pass. If you take the test and do not pass, then enroll in GED classes and brush up on your skills… then pass the GED and you don’t have to pass the ability to benefit test.

Many college bound students, no matter if they are going for the first time or returning to finish up their degree know the value behind getting college scholarships and grants. The money they provide can easily lower the cost of your college education to a more manageable level if not almost cover the cost all together. Your chances of getting a college scholarship or grant can quickly become derailed of you if fail to take the time and make sure you don’t make some of the most common mistakes many applicants fail to correct before they turn in their… Reference and Education: Financial Aid Articles from EzineArticles.com

Question by sweetnlovely: single mom wants to get an scholarship to College?
I’m a single mom and I’ve heard about Government Scholarships and Grants for Single Moms. I work full time but I’m going nowhere here because I don’t have a degree. I definitely want to go to school and get a much better position ($$). A friend of mine told me she finished her career with a government scholarship an even her expenses were covered, as she couldn’t work while in School. Is this true? Where can i find info?
Appreciate your comments!

Answer by Belie You need to fill out the FAFSA. There are no special “Obama grants” for single moms or anything like that. Those are a scam.
