Now single myself, but with mine being “newly grown,” I am pretty much on my own. Simply curious here….

I continue to see all these women posting questions about how men feel about dating single moms. I see all the usual responses. The one I don’t understand is this;

“I don’t want to spend my money raising anybody elses kid?”

Hello, guys? That is why the father pays child support. BUT
MORE IMPORTANTLY..I always made more than enough money to pay for every single thing my own kid ever had! His step-father never, ever, paid one dime towards my kid. Even way back when we dated, if we went out for dinner, I paid for my own kids meal. Nothing changed when we married.

My point? Women make money too. Hello? Sometimes, even a lot! We don’t need yours. If you would all just stop thinking that is what we “need” or want from you. Or worse..that we are “plotting” to get yours.
Settle down a bit guys!
“voice of”-step-parenting Is tough. Guess what? Raising any kid is tough! I would not date a man with a child, unless they were out of the house. So I DO understand. I have seen it work. It worked for me. But it is not easy !
I am not familiar with any law that makes a step-father responsible financially for a step child?

Sounds to me like you are looking for someone to abuse. However, we are all for YOU saving your tips and going to a foreign country! Stay there. I’m sorry to say this but many hassles come with dating single moms, aside from the fact that if the relationship does continue you are putting your effort into raising another mans progeny.

Guys will have the “your not my real father treatment”.
I had a mate who’s girlfriends ex was telling his kids to say that he was abusing them because he was jealous.
The way the law is written the man will become financially liable for co-habitation.

Its not out of the question, but honestly I generally avoid single-mums and she would really need to be extra-special for me to consider.

Whats wrong with single-dads? Plenty of them have the same problem and they need love too.
