Being a Single Mother

It is not easy to bring up a child on your own. Society has put a mark on single mothers as being promiscuous. No one wants to bring up a child alone. Even those who have chosen to become single mothers by choice, am sure that it is after being let down by men in there lives. Single mothers have been looked down and disregarded. They say that the children of single mothers do not grow up to be straight people in the society. They usually end up being and doing all the wrong things. Society blames the woman for being a single mother, what about the man who has abandoned his children. For young girls, when you tell the man that you are pregnant, he disappears on you. Being a single mother and a Christian is not easy. When I got pregnant, I renewed my walk with God and committed myself more to my Christian walk. The most rejection came from the people who were supposed to love me most and not condemn. When the pregnancy gets noticeable, people talk and some even brand you names. Some friends avoid you and they don’t want you anywhere near there men. Being a single mother can be fun and fulfilling. God is not a respecter of persons. He loves the single parents as much as he does the whole family set up. When you decide to serve him, it does not matter what other people say or do to you and your baby. He is the father to the fatherless. How awesome it is to have a child whose father is Jesus Christ. When your child lacks anything, you just go to the father, Jesus Christ and tell him what your baby needs. This is exactly what I do. When the man abandoned me, I was two months pregnant. He did me and my baby a favor for he gave Jesus a chance to be the father of my baby. Today I call to you single parents. Do not lose hope just because a man left you to bring up the babies alone. Call upon the name of Jesus and he will be the father of your children. Give him a chance to spoil them as he does my daughter. He is the best father and husband you could ever wish for.
